Forgive them…

MESSAGE: Colossians 1:13-14 “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.”

Just as God has forgiven us, He tells us we need to forgive others. He tells us that we have no right to hate others, because He does not hate us (and we have committed far worse crimes against Him, than they have against us). He says that no matter what their debt to us is, our debt to Him is greater, and yet He has forgiven us (Matthew 18:21-35).

Tomorrow morning we’ll remember Christ’s death for our sins. During both services you’ll be invited to partake of His body and His blood. Partaking of His body we identify ourselves with His nature. We allow Him to replace our sinful nature with His divine character of grace and love. Is there someone in your life you have not yet fully and completely forgiven? If so, don’t wait till tomorrow. You can do it tonight. Find the liberating joy of forgiveness.

Our communion service will be beautified by OAKS CHIMES. I am sure you wouldn’t want to miss it.

MINISTRY. Have you ever attended one of our Men’s Ministry meetings? If not, you are missing a lot, but mainly you’re missing some great food. See a few pictures from their April meeting. 😄

But on a serious note, they don’t just eat. Our men get together to grow spiritually and to seek ways to attend to the needs of widows and elderly members of our church family. God bless you, gentlemen!

CHURCH GROUNDS. Brent McCatchen mowed the grass on our church property again this week. Thank you, Brent for your commitment and hard work. Your work is greatly appreciated. This afternoon I am meeting with a newly established grounds committee. If you are interested in being part of this ministry please talk to me or Steve Bremner.

Added at 6:00 pm. As I was leaving my office Cris and Derren were still working cutting grass and trimming edges in the areas that were not yet finished by Brent. Thank you, guys 👍

PRAISE. The first week of May showed your wonderful support of our local church budget. Thank you and praise God! Let’s keep this pace through the next three Sabbaths of May. Your loving giving to the local budget provides much needed funding for our many church departments and ministries, including OAKS. I am sure you remember as last year we set a goal of eliminating the deficit and having a fresh financial start? By God’s grace our church finances are in the black! “In the black” of course means something good 🌟 It means that we have a positive balance! I pray that we’ll maintain consistent monthly giving.

OAKS. Wonderful news from Shelly, our school principle. Next years enrollment is at 123. 🌟🌟🌟 This is the number we have been praying about. God is truly blessing our school. If you have a Facebook page, please, go to our official Ooltewah church Facebook page and share our latest post featuring OAKS on your page. Let other people in our community know about the excellent program offered at OAKS.

By the way, OAKS has a classy website. Check it out: www.oaksonline.net and a FACEBOOK page. Here is the link https://www.facebook.com/OoltewahAdventistSchool/?ref=ts&fref=ts

I believe their Facebook page deserves more LIKES 👍 Don’t forget to click LIKE when you visit their page.
