MESSAGE.
“The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14)
Men and women, fettered and bound, were incapable of coming to God, so God in love and mercy came down to earth to interact with humans. Wonder of wonders! God incarnate! God clothed in a human body in the person of Jesus Christ. The Scriptures unite in one voice to declare this. C.S Lewis rightfully calls it the Grand Miracle.
MINISTRY.
The Christmas season has been rich with musical blessings at OAKS. Here is a brief report and pictures from Shelly Turkenkopf: “On Friday evening Dec 7 our students perform a complex musical “God With Us: A Nativity Play ” at the CA auditorium. There was laughter and tears as students sang and played their way through the Nativity story. Many people were blessed and the students enjoyed the evening with their families.
Tuesday evening, December 18, our Oaksbow band performed it’s annual Christmas concert at the Bradley Square mall. There was standing room only as the students performed new and traditional versions of Christmas carols. Our director Wes Bradford led us through a spiritual message in music as the audience experienced the majesty of Christ’s birth.”
Church Christmas social was a wonderful bonding experience. The Fellowship Hall was full to its capacity. The social committee did a fantastic job. Congratulations, David Reynolds, for winning the Ugly Sweater trophy 🙂 . Below are a few pictures for those who missed the program.
Here are a few photo highlights from the last week’s worship service: pastor David Bissell’s creative children’s story, outstanding choir performance and a sweet baby Emma Hall dedication:

On a personal note: This Christmas our family is grateful to God for another miracle of His love. Our second daughter Dasha and her husband Kevin are 15 weeks pregnant!
Our oldest Stacey and her husband Javan have been busy playing with their son Pierce 🙂 creating their own Christmas card 🙂
Merry Christmas to y’all my friends.
